Chili Pepper and Chocolate--Two Great Tastes that Taste Great Together

Chocolate and chili pepper match beautifully, and you see this match-up in specialty chocolates everywhere these days. Why should being on ideal protein mean we can't enjoy this interesting flavor combination? It's good hot or cold, as a shake or as hot cocoa. It's nice to change up the flavor profiles of the packets a bit, especially as I do tend to eat the same ones every day.

Chili Chocolate Shake (or Chili Hot Cocoa)
1 ideal protein chocolate drink mix packet
8oz water
10 ice cubes (if making as hot cocoa, use 10oz of water and no ice cubes)
1/2 tsp alcohol free almond extract (I use Frontier brand, which is 0,0,0)
A few shakes of ground cinnamon
A few shakes of ancho chili powder, to taste depending on how spicy you want to go. Note: this is not standard chili powder, which is a blend of many spices. You can also use cayenne, but I happen to like the flavor of the ancho vs cayenne which to me just tastes spicy.

Blend it up in the blender and enjoy! If you are having it hot, blend gently to avoid too much foaming, and then heat in the microwave to desired temperature.
